Operations Consulting Service

As a freelance operations consultant based in Charlotte, I can assist with the analysis of your order fulfillment process, such as, demand forecasting, manufacturing, logistics and customer service. I can also assist with managing your order fulfillment improvement projects: program manager service.

How Am I Unique?

  • Blend of the practical and theory. I started my career as a production supervisor in heavy manufacturing. I also have a MS in Industrial Administration (MSIA), which is an MBA focused on data analysis and optimization techniques (i.e. operations research).
  • Understand the science behind the methods. I understand …
    • that JIT is a quality improvement program, not an inventory reduction program.
    • the calculation of optimal inventory levels based on demand variance.
    • the statistical methods underlying Six Sigma and statistical process control.
    • that addressing demand variance is the best way to improve forecasting.
    • the relationship between quality, inventory levels and cost.
    • the financial impacts of working capital reductions.
  • Build tangible solutions working side-by-side with team members. I don’t simply analyze, advise or delegate.
  • Work the entire project lifecycle: develop the initial business case, plan the project, analyze, design, build and deploy.

Relevant Experience

I have worked the entire breadth of the order fulfillment process. Below is a sample of my my experience. A complete list of my projects is on the Project Experience page and my LinkedIn profile.
